When transcription is enabled on the server, uploads produce real segments with timestamps in the workspace (speaker separation isn’t included yet). When cloud sync is enabled for your account, completed transcripts and folders persist across devices.

Yes — the UX assumes audio extraction from common video formats. Exact codec support will follow from the processing pipeline.
