Rules for using MegaScribe.

Thank you for using MegaScribe!

When we say "Company", "we", "our", or "us" in this document, we are referring to Pastime-Live Inc.

When we say "Services", we mean MegaScribe and related products operated by Pastime-Live Inc, whether delivered in a web browser, desktop or mobile application, API, or another format we make available.

When we say "You" or "your", we refer to individuals or organizations that register for or access the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders through the product or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

When you use the Services now or in the future, you agree to the latest Terms below. Failure to enforce a provision at one time does not waive our right to enforce it later. These terms contain a limitation of liability.

Account terms

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. The Company is not liable for loss arising from unauthorized access caused by your failure to do so.
You may not use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
You are responsible for all activity under your account, including by anyone who obtains your credentials or who you authorize as a user.
Accounts must represent real humans or duly authorized entities. Automated sign‑up or “bot” registrations are prohibited.

Payment, refunds, and plan changes

Paid features are billed according to the plan you choose at checkout through our payment processor. If pricing includes a stated trial period, the trial duration is communicated when you subscribe; after any trial, billing continues unless you cancel.
When upgrading from free to paid, billing generally starts on upgrade or as shown in checkout. Your billing cycle and renewal terms are governed by the subscription you select and the policies of our payment processor.
Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Where required, applicable taxes are collected and remitted as required by law.
Refund policy: unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated at checkout, payments are final and non‑refundable. You may cancel paid subscriptions at any time in account settings; cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless your plan or account deletion states otherwise.

Cancellation and termination

You are responsible for properly canceling your account or subscription through the controls we provide in the product. If you need help, contact us at privacy@megascribe.com.
After account cancellation or deletion, your content may become immediately inaccessible. Unless a different schedule is required by law, we aim to delete active copies within a reasonable period and to purge backups within approximately 90 days. We may not be able to recover data after permanent deletion.
If you upgrade, downgrade, or cancel mid‑cycle, billing may be handled as described by our payment processor. We generally do not prorate partial periods unless expressly stated at purchase.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms, risk to security or other users, or as required by law. Serious abuse may result in immediate termination without prior notice.
Harassment or threats directed at Company personnel may result in immediate termination of accounts.

Uptime and security

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis except where expressly agreed in writing (for example a separate enterprise agreement). We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
We may throttle or temporarily restrict accounts whose usage materially affects other customers, after reasonable notice except in emergencies.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit. No service is entirely free of risk.
We rely on third‑party vendors (hosting, databases, CI/CD, transcription or AI inference where applicable, email, billing, logging, and security tools) required to operate the Services.

Copyright and content ownership

Uploaded content must comply with applicable copyright and other laws.
You retain ownership of materials you submit. We do not claim ownership of your uploads; you grant us only the limited rights necessary to host, process, transcribe where applicable, and display content to provide the Services.
We do not pre‑screen uploads but may remove content that violates these Terms or law.
The branding, visuals, logos, compilation, software, documentation, and other materials comprising MegaScribe are owned by or licensed to the Company. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission. Requests to use logos may be sent to privacy@megascribe.com.
You may not reproduce, resell, or exploit the Services without express written consent.
You must not misrepresent any site or service as affiliated with the Company.

Features and bugs

We improve the Services based on feedback and testing. We do not warrant that every feature will meet your requirements. Software may contain bugs; we prioritize security and privacy issues but do not guarantee error‑free operation.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pastime-Live Inc and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or any other theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
